Facts About ID FOOD, Indonesia's Newly Formed State-Owned Enterprises

SOE Minister Erick Thohir today inaugurated a Food SOE Holding named ID FOOD. This holding is expected to help deal with national food problems.

According to Erick, with this holding is expected to face the pressures of digital disruption and innovation that is considered very important.

Erick Doesn't Want Just a Logo

He said the launch of this holding is expected not only to be a logo launch. "But there must be concrete and results, I ask all directors of SOEs present at this time must be the ecosystem," he said at the launch of ID FOOD in the Old City area, Jakarta, Wednesday (1/12/2022).

Consisting of a number of SOEs

With the establishment of this Food SOE holding, in accordance with Government Regulation No. 118 of 2021 Article 4, RNI is a shareholder of five Limited Liability Companies including PT Perusahaan Perdagangan Indonesia, PT Sang Hyang Seri, PT Perikanan Indonesia, PT Berdikari, and PT Garam.

We can create a national food ecosystem.

On the same occasion, President Director of PT RNI (Persero) Arief Prasetyo Adi hopes that by launching this new identity, ID Food can realize three things, namely national food security, inclusiveness for farmers, farmers and fishermen and become a world-class food company.

"Hopefully the Holding of food SOEs can provide more role for the national food ecosystem so that it can be present in the indonesian community," he said.

Before the establishment of the Food SOE Holding must go through several stages, including the establishment of one of the holding members, PT Perikanan Indonesia, and the merger of six Food SOEs into three Food SOEs.
